GW's Critical Care Symposium provides an extensive update of standard-of-care principles within critical care as well as introduce novel and cutting edge information.


This activity will explore issues in several areas of critical care including

  • Novel therapies for shock
  • Complex management of the ARDS patient
  • Critical management of pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension
  • Updates in trauma resuscitation
  • Neurologic emergencies

Learning Objectives 

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Apply newly acquired knowledge in the management of critical care patients
  • Select appropriate therapeutic algorithms for specific presentations of shock
  • Compare and contrast standard-of-care management with cutting-edge treatment
